Kristen' Scott is a singer, song writer, she is passing on her passion and sharing for music through teaching singing and piano. to kids and youth. She's also a mom to two amazing young kids. I'm so grateful to have met her and now call her a friend.
Kristens life took a drastic turn 5 years ago when she became a widow with two young children who were 3 & 5 at the time. The unimaginable pain and loss she experienced when her husband took his own life is something that no one should ever have to go through. In this episode, she courageously opens up about her journey.
You'll hear the sniffles given not knowing Kristen's story beforehand and the emotions were raw. But you'll also hear the vulnerability and the strength in Kristens voice as she recounts her story.
This is a conversation that touches upon the complexities of mental health, the stigmas surrounding suicide and it sheds a light on these tough topics. Kristen hopes to bring awareness and understanding to those who may be struggling or know someone who is.
Kristen wrote and composed a song that deeply and powerfully expresses her experience and emotions around her husbands suicide. You can listen to her outstanding vocal ability here: "I Feel Nothing, Nothing At All"
